A Campaign for Progress:

Jeff Mackie for Port Dalhousie

I’m running to be your next Ward 6 Councillor to provide strong, experienced leadership that ensures responsible growth and a thriving local economy.

For over a decade, I’ve worked to bring action and positive change to our community. From supporting local businesses and revitalizing public spaces to advocating for infrastructure improvements, I’ve worked alongside residents, business owners, and volunteers to help make Port Dalhousie a better place to live, work, and visit.

That includes hands-on community projects—like helping bring the outdoor rink to life—that show what’s possible when neighbours come together with a shared vision.

As co-founder and CEO of T.S.M. Custom Millwork Ltd, a St. Catharines-based manufacturing business, and co-operator of the Lakeside Park Concession, I understand how to manage budgets, create jobs, and deliver results. My volunteer leadership with the Port Dalhousie Beautification and Works Committee and the Dalhousie Yacht Club also gave me firsthand experience working with City Councillors, staff, and community stakeholders. That has prepared me to be a proactive, effective voice at City Hall with a clear understanding of how to navigate municipal processes.

With one major redevelopment completed and two more approved to move forward, Port is at a crossroads. We need to ensure this growth benefits our community—by securing infrastructure improvements, addressing traffic and parking, and protecting public spaces and heritage.

I’ll work to ensure that the City’s Official Plan, the Port Dalhousie Secondary Plan, and the Heritage Conservation District Plan remain the guiding documents as we move forward.

I believe my business and community leadership experience makes me the right person to bring practical, results-driven solutions to City Hall. I’ll work hard, listen to residents, and make sure Port Dalhousie’s voice is heard.

Together, we can:

• Protect Port Dalhousie’s heritage and natural beauty

• Enhance local infrastructure and services to meet the needs of our growing community

• Advocate for affordable housing, ensuring everyone has a place to call home

• Support small businesses and nurture a thriving local economy

• Amplify every voice in decisions that shape our future

My Mission

is to put people first and collaborate with residents, business owners, community groups, and City staff to deliver results that reflect the needs and values of this community. As a business owner, I understand the economic pressures our city faces and how to attract investment while supporting small businesses and local jobs. My experience navigating complex budgets and working with multiple stakeholders will help me prioritize smart economic development and infrastructure renewal.

I keep myself informed by consistently watching Council meetings, reading staff reports, and speaking with current councillors to fully understand the challenges St. Catharines is facing. I believe informed, collaborative leadership is what our community needs.

Port Dalhousie Ward

has given me opportunity, purpose, and a deep sense of community—and now, I’m ready to give back in an even greater way. I’m asking for your vote so we can build a strong future for our community and our children—together.
